Doomsday Prepper Plans to Spend Life After Apocalypse Playing Fallout Shelter

One of the more exciting and immediate announcements at E3 2015 was that of Bethesda’s Fallout Shelter for iOS. We immediately recognized that it was a great way to build interest in the Fallout franchise among people who wouldn’t normally play on console. And that has proven to be true for Karl Martin of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Karl is a Doomsday Prepper. He lives his life in a small home where he stockpiles thousands of dollars worth of food, water, and guns every month.
“I’m spending a whole lot of time on my preps right now,” Karl said, “but I heard about this game called ‘Fallout Shelter’ from my friend Greg who is also a prepper. We don’t have time to play it right now, because we’re stashing things up for the apocalypse, but when it all hits the fan we’ll have nothing but time to play. That’s what I’ll be doing in my bunker, playing Fallout Shelter. Finally a game about people like me!”
When asked if he would play the rest of the Fallout games, Karl seemed paranoid. “I don’t want to say anything more, I don’t want to give away all my secrets to the media.”
